Evan Keely begins as Interim Senior Minister (1 year renewable to 2), leading the congregation in self-examination and scheduled self-assessments. Sept. 2011- January 2012 - BOT and Leadership Development & Nominations (LDNC) work with Personnel, Finance, RE, Ministers, etc. to develop guidelines for Search Committee January – April 2012 Search Committee slate recruited for election at Annual Meeting May-Sept 2012 Search Committee “Self-Study” (team-building, surveys, meetings, focus groups, etc.) – compensation package and draft agreement recommended to BOT August 2013 – Second year of Interim Senior Minister begins September -October, 2012 On-line Application for Senior Minister completed & informational packet prepared and submitted November- March, 2013 Correspondence and evaluation; Search Committee selects 3 to 4 pre-candidates for pre-candidating weekends March – April 2013 SC extends an offer; Candidating week at Cedar Lane April- May 2013 Congregation extends call & minister accepts August 2013 – Interim departs; new Senior Minister starts. RE Timeline:August-December 2011 – Identify and prepare for RE lay leaders/increased staff support to complete the 2011-12 R.E. year January 2012 to August 2012 – Completion of RE year and events as planned March-April 2012 – Search packet prepared; advertise for Interim RE Minister, DRE, or CRE (best qualified available individual) May 2012 – BOT Transition Committee interviews and hires RE Interim leader August 2012 - RE Interim begins (one year renewable to two); leads congregation in self-examination and periodic self-assessments specific to RE. Sept. 2012- January 2013 – Self-examination and assessment with Interim RE leader; BOT and LDNC work with committees, ministers, and RE interim on guidelines for RE Search Committee members. January – April 2013 RE Search Committee slate recruited and elected at Annual Meeting May-September 2013 RE Search Committee “Self-Study” (team-building, surveys, meetings, focus groups, etc.) – compensation package and draft agreement recommended to BOT August 2013 – second year of interim RE leadership begins Sept-Oct 2013 Online application and informational packet/draft agreement for RE professional (MRE, DRE or CRE) prepared and submitted Nov 2013 –March 2014 Correspondence and evaluation; Search Committee selects 3 to 4 pre-candidates for Pre-candidating weekends March 15, 2014 – Search Committee extends an offer to RE candidate April-May, 2014 Candidating week; congregation offer & acceptance August 2014 – Interim departs; new RE leader starts. |
