Cedar Lane’s annual benefit concert has become one of the most anticipated and significant events of the year. Cedar Lane’s Music Ministry and Social Justice Team are pleased to support the work of Action in Montgomery (AIM). Featured will be pianist Dr. Jasmin Lee in Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, the Cedar Lane Choir singing Copland’s Old American Songs, and our chamber ensemble performing Shostakovich’s Jazz Suite No. 1.
Working with a network of local faith and community-based organizations, AIM’s mission is to develop local leadership and organized power to solve community and economic problems. AIM’s achievements include securing high quality, free, afterschool programs in 10 of the country’s high poverty public elementary schools, winning over $725 million to build more than 15,000 units of affordable housing, and $30 million to rebuild four community centers in historic African American neighborhoods.
Bring a friend and join us for an exquisite night of music and charitable giving!
