Our annual benefit concert has become one of the most anticipated and significant events of the year. Cedar Lane’s Music Ministry and Social Justice Team are pleased to support the work of the DMV Sanctuary Congregations Network. This network of congregations in the DC/MD/VA region provides support and solidarity to neighbors, friends, and family who fear being detained, deported or profiled. The faith of the congregations in the network will not allow or permit the criminalization and scapegoating of immigrants and people of color.

In the face of hate and discrimination DMV-SCN is committed to showing love, compassion and hospitality. The Network has prioritized Deportation Defense: keeping a neighbor facing deportation from being deported, through family support, advocacy, fundraising, media outreach, community organizing, and communications. Some congregations are hosting people who are at risk of deportation; pressing their cities and states to get ICE out of schools, jails and courts, and to end all policies that racially profile and over-incarcerate people of color. Join us for this important evening of charitable giving coupled with performance excellence.
