- Chalice House Main Room
Part of the mission and ministry of Cedar Lane UU Church is providing the opportunity for physical sanctuary for a threatened immigrant. As you know, Rosa Gutierrez Lopez has resided with us since December 10, 2018. During that time we have been providing security, hospitality and comfort for her and her family. It takes 275 slots filled monthly with regional volunteers in order to make this happen.
New volunteers are always needed to sustain our efforts. There are opportunities for many different types of participation. Our greatest needs are for volunteers to serve as daytime and night-time companions, interpreters/translators, and to assist with meals/errands, and children's transportation and activities. Proficient Spanish speakers are always especially valued.
