Cedar Lane's annual week of providing food for Interfaith Works Women’s Center (2 Taft Court, Rockville (off Gude Drive near Norbeck Road) begins Sunday, November 24.
During this week our volunteers will prepare and serve the evening meal for 35 women in the Rockville shelter. Others will contribute supplies and food for breakfast and lunch. We have six slots for food preparation and six slots for serving each day. We also need 3 people to prepare 12 lunch bags each day.

About This Program
This program began in the late ‘80s as a cold-weather overflow shelter which moved from church to church each week. Interfaith Works manages the shelter coordinating with Montgomery County and volunteer organizations (mostly churches). Shelter guests commit to working with IW staff to improve their situations.
