When life becomes its most challenging, sometimes it is only our beloved animal friends that seem to offer comfort. But how are we a sanctuary for them? The Rev. Katie Romano Griffin and our Director of Lifespan Religious Education, Tim Atkins invite you to join us for this year’s Animal Blessing as we honor our furry, feathered, scaled and skinned loved ones and contemplate how we may be a sanctuary for them as well. To honor the needs of those with allergies, we'll have a slideshow of animals (past and present) at our 9 am service, while we will have live animals at 11 am.
Anyone wishing to have their pet as part of this year’s slideshow, please email a photo with title to firstname.lastname@example.org by October 17th.
A small altar will be set up for hard copy photos that you can bring before the service and take home afterwards.
