Volunteer In-Person Opportunities
Volunteers Needed For Mid-County United Ministries (MUM) on Sundays. For Sunday, May 24, needs include:
- Option 1 - load MUM's van with food at Acorn Self-Storage, 11015 West Ave., Space #90, Kensington, at 11:30 AM (this will involve repeated lifting of 20-25 pounds);
- Option 2 - at 1:15 PM, participate in setting up, packing, and distributing food. The distribution site this week is MUM's Mobile Pantry at Peppertree Farm Apartments,14120 Weeping Willow Drive, Silver Spring.
- Option 3-Become a MUM Shopper. View the list of needed items.

Manna Food Bank continues to assess the community's needs and is accepting contact information in anticipation of possible volunteer opportunities such as phone banking, packing and sorting food at the warehouse, being a food runner, and assisting with other forms of offsite food distribution. If you are interested in being considered for volunteer opportunities as they become available, please fill out the Special Response Task Force form.
Volunteer with The Maryland Medical Reserve Corps by becoming a Maryland Responder, which is open to medical and non-medical volunteers 18 years of age or older. You can sign up to volunteer with Maryland Responds through the Maryland Responds Registry.
