About the artists:

  • Bianca De Leon is an Austin, Texas based singer/songwriter dubbed “Queen of the border ballad” by John Nova Lomax and “a voice from Texas that does it right”, by Guy Clark. De Leon is an accomplished guitar player utilizing both finger-picking and flat picking. Her sultry and mysterious voice complements her music style influenced by Tex-Mex and Central American Music.
  • Kerri Powers started singing and playing professionally in local coffeehouses throughout her native New England and went on to release several well-received albums. She has performed at Boston Folk Festival, Philadelphia Folk Festival, and Telluride Bluegrass Festival, among others. The Hartford Courant called her a “Mark Twain-like trickster whose wry words, dramatic sense of dynamics and supple phrasing can celebrate joy and hope.”
