Kiplinger Lecture -  A Promise Unfulfilled: the Future of the Right to Vote

Join us in person and online at bit.ly/Kiplinger2024 for an enlightening lecture featuring Franita Tolson, Professor of Law and Dean of the USC Gould School of Law. Dean Tolson, a distinguished scholar in the field of voting rights and access, will delve into the protections outlined in the Voting Rights Acts of 1965 and the 14th and 15th Amendments to the Constitution. Additionally, she will provide insights into recent federal and state laws and judicial decisions impacting voting rights.

Dean Tolson is a graduate of the University of Chicago School of Law, where she was a member of the esteemed Law Review. She has coauthored the widely acclaimed election law casebook titled "The Law of Democracy" and authored the upcoming book "In Congress We Trust? Enforcing Voting Rights from the Founding to the Jim Crow Era," scheduled for publication later in 2024. Her expertise extends to numerous other book chapters and articles on related subjects

The discussion will be moderated by Russ Feingold, President of the American Constitution Society and former three-term Senator from Wisconsin.
