Support Group for Dementia/Alzheimer’s Caregivers

Kay Gottesman facilitates this support group for caregivers of people with Dementia/Alzheimer’s via Zoom.

Kay has been an active member of Cedar Lane since 2008 and is the primary caregiver for her husband since his diagnosis of early-stage dementia in 2009. During that time, she has had to deal with the issues all caregivers face. Although the progression of the disease and the specific physical and behavioral changes vary among affected people, a support group brings out the common problems faced by all caregivers and offers suggestions for dealing with specific problems. Kay has diverse experience in peer support and extensive knowledge of the impact of dementia on families.
